Lot 8 - microwave amplifiers

At Leibniz-IPHT, superconducting quantum circuits for applications in the areas of quantum computing / simulation, quantum sensing and quantum communication are being researched. Microwave signals in the GHz range are used to control and specifically read out the circuits. A mode of operation in the quantum electronic sense sets strict limits on the electrical power of the microwave tones used, which must therefore be amplified as close to the circuit as possible with little noise input. Cryogenic microwave amplifiers with low noise temperatures are required as an important component. Signal amplitudes to be detected down to the level of individual photons are of great interest. Several equivalent readout lines are of particular scientific interest for measuring correlations. Therefore 2 cryogenic microwave amplifiers are to be purchased.
