With currently a total of 1,400 planned beds at three locations, Klinikum Lippe GmbH (hereinafter referred to as KLG or awarding authority) makes an important contribution to medical care in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region. Around 2,800 employees care for patients on wards, operating theatres and functional areas and are responsible for smooth hospital operations in administration and technology. The KLG site in Detmold currently comprises around 700 beds and around 1,500 employees.

The requirements for a modern hospital are subject to constant change. This requires a high degree of flexibility in the strategic development of the site and in planning decisions. Under these premises, the measures described in these tender documents are aimed at ensuring the future viability of the entire Klinikum Lippe GmbH for the coming years.
