The scope of the tender concerns internal cleaning, extracting toilets, filling water and cleaning front windows of international train equipment. The cleaning consists of daily, periodic and turning point (interim turn during the barrier of equipment). Currently, this concerns the following trains from NS International: IC Brussels, Eurostar, Thalys, ICE, IC Berlin, Nightjet.
At the moment, the cleaning takes place at 3 locations in Amsterdam. With the social focus on sustainability and sustainable travel (e.g. train instead of plane for 'short' international distances), we expect movement in international rail traffic in the coming years and thus the scope can also change. For example, on timetables, dumbbells, frequency of work and changing requirements regarding quality and cleaning concept. What exactly these changes are concerned is not yet clear, but that they are very likely to occur during the term of the contract.
The expected value of the total Assignment, assuming the initial duration of four (4) years and defined scope, is between 20 and 22 million euros (ex. VAT, price level 2021). The options years will be ca. 5 million euro (ex. VAT) per year.
A further assignment description is included in the PVE&W and the PvE&W will only be made available to the Candidates who have qualified for the award phase after the selection phase.
NOTE: This data reflects the expected size based on data, key numbers and experiences. The annual decline will fluctuate. No rights can be derived from this data with regard to the Assignment.
The reason for this is that the magnitude of the order value is strongly influenced by several factors including but not limited to:
• Need for the service (based on, among other things, analyses cleaning of the equipment; quality demand current Carriers and traveller growth forecasts) and available budget.
• Policy choices of various clients for which activities are carried out that affect the scope of the Assignment (such as Lines/Carriers who no longer drive during the contract period).
• Unpredictability in the traveller's forecasts, for example due to the impact of the corona crisis.
• External factors.
The size of the total assignment value may also fluctuate per year, due to budget adjustments by NS and/or clients or the choice of various NS clients for which work is carried out in order to provide or without assignment.
NS makes an annual (or more frequent if NS deems it necessary based on developments or changes in material supply) a need, on the basis of which it is determined which decrease is expected to be required.
