The European X-Ray Free-Electron Laser Facility GmbH builds the European X-ray laser XFEL on the premises (BG) Bahrenfeld, Osdorfer Born and Schenefeld. A visitor centre with conference rooms, exhibition rooms and student laboratories is to be built on the company premises in Schenefeld. The subject of this invitation to tender is the timber construction work of the construction project, consisting of:

- 10 steel columns with fire protection paint in the foyer area

- 9 LSH columns on the upper floor

- Approx. 510 m glulam truss as roof structure

- Approx. 270 m glulam beams as secondary beams

- Approx. 1300 m² roof pane as planking made of 63 mm thick laminated veneer lumber panels

- Approx. 170 m² timber frame constructions as infill walls on the upper floor

- Approx. 370 m coniferous timber carrier KVH as mounting substrate for on-site suspended ceilings
