The subject of the contract is to carry out active protection tasks for the protection of habitats: 6210 Xerothermal turf, 91E0 Willow, poplar, alder and ash alluvial forests and 91F0 Ash oake-elm alluvial forests, i.e. the performance of a service to combat invasive borscht Sosnowski on the territory of the nature reserve “Gipsowa Mountain” and in areas adjacent to it.
The service consists of the following works:
1. Excavation of copies of Sosnowski borscht together with roots (mechanical method), to a depth of min. 30 cm, in May (I relapse), June to July (II relapse) and July to August (III relapse), in the area indicated in Figure 1. For individuals less than 20 cm (height counted from the ground surface), at the time of carrying out the work in II and III recurrence, it is allowed to cut the root neck at a depth of less than 10 cm from the ground surface with simultaneous pulling the green part out of the soil.
Detailed timelines for subsequent recurrences of treatments must be agreed each time with the natural supervision provided by the Contracting Authority.
2. Biomass storage: biomass obtained as part of the procedures carried out (digging, cutting the root neck) should be stored in prism where the work is carried out in compact lobes or in dispersal -
near the performance of the procedure. Excavated plants must be laid on a sunlit spot, for specimens excavated as individual individuals it is permitted to leave (suspend) them on the shoots of trees or shrubs to dry. Storage sites (on prisms) should be marked with a plaque warning of the possibility of damage to the body (burns). Biomass storage in photocerothermal turf lobes and water depressions are not permitted — storage sites will be agreed with natural supervision.
