The procurement is for the construction of a hub network and terminal, carried out as a turnkey contract as well as an operation and maintenance contract:
The contract work comprises engineering design services, delivery and assembly of 2 complete hub networks, which the builder will decide to develop within a limited geographical area, as well as a complete joint double terminal and all the control units that have communication interface between the main network and the sub networks (of which the latter is not included in the contract).
The provisional estimated extent is 12 000 residential units and 10 km pipe and 315 downchutes.
The erection of the building where the terminal shall be assembled will be put out to competition as a separate contract and is not included in this procurement. The necessary excavation work will be carried out by contractors contracted by the builder and is also not included in the contract work.
The delivery and assembly of a pipeline network, downchutes, storage parts and control units shall be in accordance with call-offs, cf. the description of the call-off mechanism and the work procedure in the tender documentation.
The contract work also includes responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the main network, including the terminal — the entire delivery, up until it is handed over, as well as existing installations, cf. the description in tender documentation.
The development period will stretch over time and will be carried out in stages. However the aim is that the terminal shall be completed and commissioned in the 4th quarter of 2017.
The provisional development period is estimated to 10 years, but this is uncertain.
