The contract involves the removal of 200 tonnes Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA), 100 tonnes crushed glass and an amount of black bag waste estimated at 864 tonnes over a 12 month period (estimate based on data which suggests a 72 tonne per month average). These materials are to be taken from the Waste Management Site on St Mary's, Isles of Scilly and taken to a suitable disposal or treatment site. Contractors are required to coordinate all aspects of the transport of the materials from the site on the Isles of Scilly to their final disposal/treatment and must do so in a fully legally compliant fashion.
The methodology and logistics for the remove are to be defined by the provider as part of their tender submission.
