On October 3, the Federal Republic of Germany celebrates German Unity Day (TDE) every year. The unity celebration takes place in the federal state that regularly holds the Federal Presidency. Hamburg will take over the Presidency of the Federal Council from November 1, 2022 to October 31, 2023. This includes hosting the official celebration for German Unity Day in 2023. The 2023 celebrations take place in Hamburg's city centre. Here, a citizens' festival is intended to make German unity come alive. In addition to the presentation of the federal states and constitutional bodies, a conceptually round concept involving, for example, actors from culture, business, science and politics is desired.

The aim of the service is the conception, planning, organization, implementation and follow-up for the citizens' festival on the occasion of German Unity Day 2023 in Hamburg.

The exact scope of services will only emerge in the further course of the project.
