Due to increased cleaning requirements, the "Oberes Baybachtal" wastewater treatment plant, which is in need of renovation, is being fundamentally renewed and adapted to today's cleaning standard. The conversion or renewal of the wastewater treatment plant takes place in several construction phases during ongoing plant operation. The catchment area of the wastewater treatment plant extends to a total of 13 local communities with the industrial areas dörth and Pfalzfeld as well as to the city of Emmelshausen, the expansion size of the wastewater treatment plant is about 14,000 p.e. In the course of the overall measure, rain overflow basins, company buildings, pre-cleaning and revitalization as well as the digestion and the sludge tanks will be renewed or newly built.
