Ophthalmologist services. The Minor Eye Condition Service will manage patients within the community whenever clinically appropriate, ensuring that patients are transferred to secondary or specialist care only when their condition requires secondary or specialist care services.

It will do so by providing a high quality community ophthalmology triage, assessment and treatment service founded on the principles of clinical best practice and clinical governance.
