Ekom21 - hereinafter “AG” for short - is the largest municipal IT service company in Hesse and is one of the three largest BSI-certified municipal IT service companies in Germany.

A new, modern multi-format inserting system (at least 16,000 C6 inserts per hour) is to be procured for the central printing centre.

The purchase of the inserting machine is advertised in a negotiated procedure with a competition for participation.

ekom21 - KGRZ Hessen - hereinafter referred to as "AG" - is the largest municipal IT service provider in Hesse and one of the three largest BSI-certified municipal IT service providers in Germany.

The approximately 500 members in Hesse and other customers nationwide include around 29,000 end users from local governments and other public institutions, such as counties, cities, municipalities, municipal companies, special-purpose associations, institutions, hospitals and homes. In the state sector, Ekom21 serves numerous state associations, ministries and regional presidents.

ekom21 maintains its central printing centre in Kassel. The inserting (approx. 14 million) is currently carried out on an inserting machine of the company Kern, model 2600, an inserting machine of the company Böwe, model Marathon and an inserting line of the company Böwe, model Quattro. The two machines from Böwe are to be replaced by a new, modern multi-format inserting system (at least 16,000 C6 inserts per hour). The inserting material should be fed both endlessly from rolls and via single sheets. Likewise, inserts should be able to be supplied via at least two insert stations. All current applications of the ekom21 must run on the new machine.

The date for productive use of the inserting system is September 2023.

As part of the bidding phase, it is intended to carry out an inspection of a project and a measurement at the client's site.
