This procurement is for the provision of the management of the Councils' fleet tyres including the supply and fitment of vehicle tyres and related, ancillary products and services for a wide variety of local-authority vehicles. Services to consist of, but not limited to:

a) ensuring that vehicles are in a safe and legally compliant condition at all times (in respect of tyres and ancillary components); and

b) attending to vehicle breakdowns resulting from tyre faults and rectifying these faults; and

c) rectifying any damage consequent to tyre faults such as punctures; and

d) monitoring tyre condition for wear and damage on a routine basis; and

e) supplying and replacing tyres which have reached or are nearing the end of their usable life; and

f) carrying out any ancillary (to tyres) services required such as:

— tyre disposal,

— tyre valve and valve extension replacement,

— wheel balance,

— calibration and adjustment of vehicle tracking,

— turn on the rim and twinning,

— tyre re-treading and grooving,

— fitting wheel nut indicators or ring clips as required by the Councils.
