Alvøen school, Janaflaten 31, consists of 6 buildings and a temporary pavilion building. This contract comprises the demolition of the ‘east wing’, in order to facilitate for construction of a new school building on the same site. See drawings and particular description for the demolition work.

The demolition is presupposed to be carried out in the period December 2015 to February 2016. However, the school will be in use, and the necessary considerations should be taken into account during this work.

Janaflaten is the access road to the school for both teachers, students and contractors, even though a large number of the students also arrive via footpath from the west. The Contractor must therefore avoid transports and major external demolition works during the hours of 8:00 — 8:30 and 14:00 — 14:15. See also the attached SHA plan.

The east wing that shall be demolished also lies close to the pavilion building where lessons take place. Therefore notice must be given of particularly noisy activities, so that the school can take this into account.
