Senter for integritet i forsvarssektoren [the Centre for Integrity in the Defence Sector] (CIDS) in Norway works as a consulting body as part of Forsvarsdepartementet [the Ministry of Defence]. The CIDS' responsibility includes strengthening good governance, creating integrity, and giving advice in key areas to reduce the risk of corruption or other unethical behaviour. The key relevant areas for providing sustained improved governance are: Professionalism and integrity in the civil service, Personnel management, Property management, Conflict of interest, Public access to information, Procurement as well as procurement which CIDS will perform in the contract with the project manager on behalf of NOR MOD. NOR MOD will be a contracting party.
CIDS is carrying out a project that is financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen the integrity and good governance in western Balkan countries. The project period is five years. The contract has a three-year duration with the option for extending for two additional years.
