Description:
Framework contract bus transfers

The German Wine Institute (DWI) is the central marketing organization of the German wine industry with the task of promoting quality and sales, and thus promoting awareness as well as the image of German wines and sparkling wines through joint competitive marketing measures at home and abroad. To carry out these tasks, the DWI conducts information trips for various target groups, including foreign delegations, players from the hotel and catering industry, and press representatives. In connection with these information trips, the DWI issues a framework agreement for the execution of bus transfers for a period of at least two (2) and a maximum of four (4) years. During this period, the DWI intends to conduct information trips throughout Germany, mainly to the 13 German wine-growing regions, for various target groups (including international delegations, hotel and catering industry players, press representatives). It is expected that an average of around 80 trips per year, of which about 30 one-day and 50 multi-day trips, are expected to be made over the contract period. The number of passengers to be transported per trip is between 4 and 60 people.

One-day trips

In order to provide the service in Lot 1, participants in DWI events must be transported by the contractor on a single calendar day or multiple times. The number of passengers per trip is usually around 20 to 25 people. Due to the restrictions in connection with the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the number of participants is currently limited to a maximum of 12 people. As a rule, the contractor should transport participants in a single vehicle. In accordance with the content of the respective training event, the destinations to be found are primarily establishments in the catering and wine industry (e.g. wineries). The destinations of the trips are usually located within a radius of approximately 100 km from the client's place of business. This is usually the route from Bodenheim to Mainz and the surrounding wine-growing regions of Rheinhessen, Rheingau, Nahe (and back). Accordingly, there will be no overnight stay.

The client expects about 30 one-day trips per year for the service period.

The estimated scope of services (without guarantee) is based on the number of trips made in 2019. For each year during the period of service provision, the client expects travel volume comparable to 2019, i.e. before the start of the pandemic.

The client cannot guarantee a fixed travel quota.

More day trips

In order to provide the service in lot 2, participants must be transported by the contractor for several days, i.e. at least two days and usually up to five days. The number of passengers per trip is between 4 and 60 people. As a rule, however, up to about 30 people are usually transported. As a rule, the contractor should transport participants in a single vehicle. The destinations of these trips are mainly within the thirteen German wine-growing regions (Moselle, Ahr, Württemberg, Baden, Rhine-Hesse, Palatinate, Franconia, Saale-Unstrut, Saxony, Nahe, Middle Rhine, Rheingau, Hesse Bergstraße). The departure and arrival points of the trips vary and are either at the client's business location in Bodenheim, at a central location in Mainz or the surrounding area to be defined in advance (e.g. main train station, FFM airport), or at another location in Germany. In some cases, the trips also take place as one-way trips.

The client expects about 50 multi-day trips per year for the service period. The estimated scope of services (without guarantee) is based on the number of trips made in 2019. For each year during the period of service provision, the client expects travel volume comparable to 2019, i.e. before the start of the pandemic.

The client cannot guarantee a fixed travel quota.
