Establishment, organization and test operation of a "local ÖGD test center" in the city and district of Schweinfurt as a drive-through solution on the grounds of the Volksfestplatz in Schweinfurt

On 10.10.2020, the Bavarian State Government decided for the first time to significantly expand the test offer for a test for SARS-CoV-2 and therefore to entrust the district administrative authorities with the establishment, organization and test operation of a "local ÖGD test center". The district and the city of Schweinfurt have agreed to fulfil this mandate together. Accordingly, a joint test center for PCR testing was operated from 01.09.2020 to 30.06.2022.

With joint letters from the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, for Sport and Integration and the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care dated 15.06.2022, the district administrative authorities were commissioned with a further operation of the test centres until 15.10.2022. The test capacities in the test centers must be regularly reviewed and adapted to current requirements.

The previous location is no longer needs-based and the service must again be subject to competition.

For this reason, a new award procedure is being carried out for the establishment, organisation and test operation of a "local ÖGD test centre".

According to the current status, the test center is to be set up and operated in the area of the city of Schweinfurt on the grounds of the Volksfestplatz in Schweinfurt (Am Volksfestplatz, 97421 Schweinfurt) as a drive-through solution. Further details can be found in the procurement documents.
