The contracting authority hereby invites tenderer to participate in a tender contest for a contract concerning pipeline works in the project P565 Water Main Akersvann — Gullkrona. Vestfold Vann will replace the existing water main in Ø700 steel between Akersvann pump station and Gullkrona valve shaft in Tønsberg Kommune (Tønsberg Municipality). A new Ø1000 mm steel pipeline will be established. The old pipeline will be removed. The section is approx. 3 930 metres.

The contracting authority hereby invites tenderer to participate in a tender contest for a contract concerning pipeline works in the project P565 Water Main Akersvann — Gullkrona. Vestfold Vann will replace the existing water main in Ø700 steel between Akersvann pump station and Gullkrona valve shaft in Tønsberg Kommune (Tønsberg Municipality). A new Ø1000 mm steel pipeline will be established. The old pipeline will be removed. The section is approx. 3 930 metres.

The pipeline route runs primarily over agricultural areas. The route crosses two main roads where pipes will be laid in commodity pipes. These will be constructed with pipe pressing. The main line is today established with a pipe bridge over Aulielva (by Jarlsberg harness racing track). This crossing will be changed to PE pipeline via controlled drilling under the river. Controlled drilling including delivery of PE pipeline under Aulielv as well as pipe pressing with commodity pipes is contracted as a separate turnkey contract. It is planned to transfer the turnkey contract to the main contractor for pipeline works.

This main contract includes complete pipeline works including delivery of Ø1000 mm steel pipeline, structural changes/addition of valve shafts, removal of Ø700 mm steel pipeline and clearance of various building structures.

Contract commencement is planned for Autumn 2021 (September) with anticipated completion, operation ready pipeline Easter 2022. Completion of drainage and surface works — Spring 2022.
