The aim of the measures is to improve the flood protection of the existing settlements and commercial areas in the Steinkirchen polder from the current protection level at around HQ30 to a protection level HQ100.

Siel Saubach

- Creation of the temporary belly diversion of the Saubach (approx. 70 m);

- Construction of the construction pit for the Sielbauwerk including the Bach diversion channel (sheet piling approx. 1 750 m 2 , Earthworks approx. 2,000 m 3 );

- New construction of the Siel building with connection to the existing motorway access (reinforced concrete work approx. 300 m 3 );

- Production of a dam fill (earthwork approx. 6 500 m 3 );

- Sealing measures (extension of drainage path) of the motorway embankment over a length of approx. 125 m. (Sheet piling approx. 1,000 m 2 );

- Surface work (paths, drainage ditches, pipe culverts) in the area of the Siels to a small extent;

Slope foot protection BAB A3

- clearing work on the rootstocks on the motorway embankment (approx. 370 units);

- Soil removal and production of a filter layer made of gravel material at the foot of the freeway (earthworks approx. 8 500 m 3 );

- Establishment of an entertainment path along the highway embankment over a length of approx. 1,120 m (path work approx. 4,000 m 2 ).
