The administration of the city of Münster and the Stadtwerke Münster have been commissioned by council decision to develop the new building of the Stadtbad Süd in a joint cooperation. The client of the Stadtbad Süd is the subsidiary of Stadtwerke Münster GmbH, "Bädermanagement Münster GmbH". The planning area is located in the southern part of the Mitte district (Geistviertel) in Münster. The plot Inselbogen 36 is located directly opposite the central green area of the listed housing estate Grüner Grund (garden city Habichtshöhe/Grüner Grund, built 1924-1931) and measures a plot area of 5,277 m². The newly built Stadtbad Süd is a sports pool, which is mainly intended for school and club sports, but is also accessible to the public. The sports pool includes a swimming pool with five lanes and dimensions of 12.5 m x 25 m, a non-swimmer pool with dimensions of 8 m x 12.5 m and a toddler area with a water surface of about 15 m². In addition, there are the swimming pool-related adjoining rooms. The space program covers a total usable area of approx. 2,000 m².

The cubic building with a gross volume of approx. 19,000 cbm on an ec basic dimension of approx. 53 x 37 m will be built on a single storey and, with the exception of a small section in the northeast, has a complete basement.

The aim of the service to be offered and - in the case of an order - to be carried out is the barrier system. This essentially includes the following services: barrier incl. barrier for a barrier width of up to 3.0m with finished induction loop, car control terminal as column, incl. commissioning and four-year maintenance of the system (will be ordered separately by the user following the order, there is no entitlement to this)
