The upcoming measure "New construction of the multifunctional building Pforte" is a building construction measure of the state of Lower Saxony for the state reception authority of Lower Saxony (LAB NI).

Due to the expected costs, this is to be classified as a major new, conversion and expansion measure.

The measure, consisting of two separate building parts, is carried out for the initial reception facility in Boeselagerstraße 4, 38108 Braunschweig.

The creation of the interim for the tasks of the gate in containers is also part of the task, as well as the demolition of the existing buildings.

The state of Lower Saxony plans to demolish the existing guards in favor of the new construction of the multifunctional building "Pforte" at the initial reception location of LAB NI in 38108 Braunschweig, on the state-owned areas in Boeselagertraße 4.

The buildings are then a newly built part of an overall complex of former barracks of the Bundeswehr built in the 1930s. The entire property itself is divided and is owned by BS Energy (combined heat and power plant), the city of Braunschweig (sports hall), the Federal Republic of Germany (BAMF) and the state of Lower Saxony with the refugee accommodation.

Extensive demolition work must be carried out to prepare the construction site.

The existing gate building is to be dismantled as well as the state-owned part of the boiler house, the adjacent hall.
