Den norske kirke shall procure obligatory occupational injury insurance, including the requirements in accordance with the Main Tariff Agreement, as well as specified accident/travel insurance.
The procurement shall cover the obligatory occupational injury insurance, including the requirements in accordance with the Main Tariff Agreement, as well as specified accident insurance, cf. the requirement specifications in point 4. The insurance shall fulfil the obligatory occupational injury insurance that all employers are obliged to have for their employees, as well as fulfil the requirements in accordance with the Main Tariff Agreement. The insurance shall also cover specified accident insurance and it includes priests and other employees in Den norske kirke in the following 14 bodies:
— Bispemøtet/Kirkerådet
— 11 diocese councils
— Svalbard church
— Church education centres in the north
There are approx. 1600 persons employed in Den norske kirke, who make up approx. 1480 man-labour years.
The occupational injury insurance shall be paid out if an employee is injured whilst at work. If the occupational injury/occupational illness results in death, the bereaved relatives are to receive a payment from the insurance scheme.
The insurance shall cover financial loss that
— an employee incurs after an occupational injury or occupational illness or
— the bereaved relatives (spouse/live-in partner/children) incur if the employee dies as a result of an occupational injury or occupational illness.
