The University of Turku invites tenders for its insurance cover during the agreement period
and insurance-related services, in particular non-life insurance, group accident insurance and occupational accident insurance. The insurances are acquired until further notice and the first insurance period is 1.1.–31.12.2024.
Insurance services will be put out to tender mainly on the basis of the current situation and current insurance covers, insurance amounts and deductibles. The insurance cover will be supplemented and specified during the insurance period according to the changing needs of the Contracting entity.
The University acquires non-life and accident insurance for the contract period for the purposes of
insures staff, pupils, students, property, activities, etc.
for various types of damage, including personal risks, property risks and
insurance of liability risks and their services, of which the most important current insurance types are
following;
- Statutory accident insurance for personnel and ancillary
- Statutory accident insurance for students and pupils
- University group accident insurance (elementary school)
- University Group Accident Insurance (High School)
- Telework insurance for employees in case of accidents
- Travel insurance (Domestic and International travel, continuous annual insurance)
- Posting travel insurance (employees with a contract abroad)
- Medical insurance cover for other staff (non-military service)
- Omaisuusvakuutus
- Vehicle and motor liability insurance
- Ship and boat insurance
- Liability insurance for operations in the so-called "liability insurance". the responsibility of the public body, including administration

- Economic damage in accordance with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation

- Property owner's responsibility
- Liability for sudden and unforeseeable environmental damage
- Liability for damage to property of another person under consideration or work, or otherwise in possession or subject to a duty of care (protection of property held)
- The insurance must also cover the so-called. pure damage to property caused by the exercise of public authority.
