Object Planning / Architect

Construction of pneumatic tube system and dismantling of small conveyor system at the Aschaffenburg-Alzenau Hospital, Aschaffenburg site

Property planning services according to § 34 HOAI 2021 LPH 4-9

,

The Aschaffenburg Clinic is located at Hasenkopf in Aschaffenburg. It is a full-service hospital with 740 beds. Every year, 11,500 operations are performed in 11 operating theatres.

The building structure is relatively complex. On the functional wing there are 4 ward houses in the shape of fingers. In the near future, an operating theatre wing with 5 floors north-east of the main building and a parent-child centre with 5 floors south-west of the main building will be built. This expands the transport distances on the plane.

,

The logistics concepts for the surgical center as well as for the parent-child center already provide for a pneumatic tube system there. The requirements for the pneumatic tube system are also defined there.

A raw mail system is planned for the main building and ward blocks A to D, which is prepared for separate transport lines for the surgical center and the parent-child center.

2.4.1 TERMS AND CONDITIONS RELEVANT TO THE CONTRACT

The services of object planning §34 HOAI LPH 1-3 have been provided and are available including cost calculation.

This must be adhered to due to the procurement of subsidies.

,

A suitable property planning office is being sought for the subsequent services of object planning § 34 HOAI LPH 4-9.

,

The assignment is to take place in stages. In the first stage, work phases 4-7 are commissioned. There is no legal entitlement to the further commissioning of the following service level, and the client also reserves the right to provide individual services within a service level himself

or to have it provided by third parties.

,

2.4.2 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

Since its construction in 1986, the Aschaffenburg Clinic has had a box conveyor system that connects all relevant operating points of the building with each other.

Connects. The transport boxes have a volume of approx. 40 cm x 40 cm x 10 cm. The box conveyor length is used for transporting:

− Files, X-rays and documents of any kind

− Medicines, bandages, medical tools

− Blood samples, infusions, blood reserves

− Small parts

The box conveyor system has been updated again and again over the past 28 years. Control components have been renewed, fire gates have been brought up to date, and the control system has been digitized. The system requires constant maintenance on all moving parts. Contact surfaces of the rails must be cleaned. Contact grinders can be cleaned or replaced. joints and hinges can be lubricated. An employee of the hospital is permanently employed with this.

The procurement of spare parts is becoming increasingly difficult and could only be secured in recent years by purchasing stocks. The control system and almost all components have been discontinued by the manufacturers. The operation of the box conveyor system is no longer up-to-date for a hospital, as in the

As part of digitization, the transport volumes of patient records, X-rays and other documents continue to decrease.

− Blood samples

− Medication

− Infusions

− other small medical supplies

can be transported faster and more economically with a pneumatic tube system. The maintenance costs of a pneumatic tube system of this size are less than 5% of those of a box conveyor system. The transport speed is 15 times.

The existing box conveyor system is to be replaced by a pneumatic tube system. The first step is to build the raw mail system and put it into operation. The box conveyor system is technically exhausted. Continued operation is uneconomical.

In the second step, the box conveyor system is to be dismantled and the handling of the existing fire gates containing asbestos is to be planned depending on the pollutant report and during ongoing operation.

,

2.4.3 PLANNING DOCUMENTS

Floor plans are available in digital form as planning documents. The as-built documentation includes routes of the box conveyor system, stations, marshalling yards, fire protection valves, transport evaluations and the fire protection certificate of the existing building.

,

2.4.4 COSTS

,

The cost calculation is available for the pneumatic tube system, and this is used for the dismantling of the small conveyor system.

currently being developed. The client reserves the right to pay the costs for the small conveyor system during the current period.
