The market town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is planning the new construction of the primary and secondary school on Gröben.
On the property there is currently a main building, an annex and a simple gym. The main building and gymnasium will be demolished and replaced by new buildings (approx. 4,800 m² GFA without gym), whereby the gym is not the subject of this order.
The extension will be preserved and will include the middle school in the future. The new building will accommodate the primary school, administration and open all-day school. In addition, there are subordinate conversion measures on the existing building (approx. 3,000 m² GFA) in the transition to the new building.
The technical equipment of the new building includes plant groups 1 to 8.

The exact scope of the conversion measures will be determined by the client after the contract has been awarded or depending on the competition design.

With regard to the heat supply, it should be emphasized that the new heating system must also supply the existing parts of the building.
Depending on the design of the planning competition, plants for self-power supply may have to be planned.
In addition, a transformer station is to be replaced, probably elsewhere.
The assignment will take place directly after the negotiated procedure, probably at the end of 2022. Initially, the service phases 1 to 2 in the technical equipment profile according to §§ 55 ff. HOAI are commissioned with the plant groups 1 to 8.
In addition, the work phases 4 to 9 are expected to be commissioned.
There is no entitlement to an assignment of all service phases.
The gross construction costs for the overall construction project of cost groups 100 to 700 are currently estimated at around € 18.1 million.
Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2024 and the measure will be completed at the end of 2025.
