The city of Dinkelsbühl plans to maintain or repair the city fortification/wall of Dinkelsbühl.
Today's city fortifications belong substantially to the late 14th and 15th centuries, and only individual parts go back to early Gothic.
The city wall is completely preserved in its course up to approximately the height of the aisles; this is only preserved in some places.
The planned measure is divided into 3 construction or financing sections, which in turn are divided into a total of 7 renovation areas.
A total completion of the 3 construction and financing phases is planned for 2028.
The total costs are currently estimated at around €12.07 million gross (KG 200-700, DIN 276). For cost group 300, the estimate is approximately €10.1 million gross.
It is intended to commission the following services (in stages) with this tender:
Structural planning, service phases 2 to 6 according to §§ 49 ff. HOAI.

According to the client, only 4 renovation areas are relevant to the services of structural engineering.
Specifically, these are the following renovation areas:
1. construction and financing section = renovation area 1a = kennel wall (1a),
2. construction and financing section = renovation area 1b = kennel wall (1b)
3. Construction and financing section = renovation area 6 and 7 = Bäuerlinsturm (6) and Segringer gate tower (7).
The other renovation areas 2, 3, 4 and 5 are expected to not require structural design services.
For the sake of completeness, the restructuring areas are nevertheless mentioned here:
renovation area 2 = city wall Segringer Tor - Nördlinger Tor,
renovation area 3 = Nördlinger Tor city wall - Rothenburg Gate,
Renovation area 4 = Rothenburg Gate city wall - Segringer Tor and
Rehabilitation area 5 = city wall retaining wall Rothenburg pond to Schwarzläner Garten.
If, contrary to expectations, services are incurred in the aforementioned renovation areas 2, 3, 4 and 5, they would be processed on the basis of individual (small) orders.
The start of construction for renovation area 1a is sought for 2022. The total completion of all 3 construction and financing stages is planned for 2028.
The total costs are currently estimated at around €12.07 million gross (KG 200-700, DIN 276). For cost group 300, the estimate is approximately €10.1 million gross.

The services are ordered in stages.
Initially, service phase 2 (preliminary planning) is commissioned in commissioning stage 1 in accordance with § 51 HOAI. Service phases 3-6 are called up in stages in the further commissioning stages. There is no legal entitlement to total commissioning.
