The city of Gronau (Westphalia) is carrying out a tender for several servers for the virtualization of the school IT environment.

The new hardware to be purchased must be state-of-the-art and brand new. All necessary hardware components must be specified by the provider.

The aim of the tender is to set up two additional HPE server clusters in the school IT environment. The clusters are to be set up in such a way that they can be expanded with additional identically equipped servers. In the first expansion stage, the management cluster will consist of 4 servers, the VDI cluster of 6 servers. The components of the servers should be redundant in order to avoid possible single points of failure. The servers in the VDI cluster are to be equipped with two GPUs each to meet the graphical requirements of the operating systems and software products. All server systems should be delivered ready (fully assembled) and fully equipped. All required licenses for implementation in the existing VMware environment are to be offered.
