The contract is for all permanent and temporary works associated with the provision of a new single carriageway road and bridge across the River Strule in Omagh that links the A5 Beltany Road with the B48 Gortin Road via the U1528 Strathroy Road Link to the north east. This construction contract includes the following principal work activities: 1. Construction of a reinforced and pre-stressed concrete river bridge, 2. Major earthworks including cuttings, embankments and pre-earthworks drainage, 3. Construction of approximately 1 200 m of new single carriageway road, 4. Construction of a roundabout, 5. Construction of a flood protection wall at Hunters Crescent, 6. Management of temporary traffic arrangements to maintain traffic flows.
