The assignment includes management of approximately 2400 hectares of productive forest land, divided into two levels of farming, urban forest and production forest. The urban forest amounts to about 700 hectares and is largely used by the mobile outdoor life with illuminated trails, riding and walking paths and other facilities, which requires special consideration and care.

The assignment also includes nature conservation-oriented management measures such as clearing, thinning, plucking, clearing of trees and preservation of areas and individual trees within the municipality's forests. A large part of the work within the built-up land will be done with manual work.
