The aim of the Post-diagnosis Dementia Advisory Service is to provide non-clinical consistent, highly responsive, personalised and emotional support to people in Havering with a diagnosis of dementia and their carers. The service will provide this through the provision of information to promote self-help; provide awareness and advice, signpost to other services and offer peer support to dementia patients and their carers. This is to ensure service users feel more informed and confident about services available to them.
