The contract involves the management and operation of a market in Swanley. The market has a stall frontage of approximately 433 metres. It operates on Wednesday (public holidays excepted) throughout the year. The term will be 5 years with a fee being payable to the Authority. The successful contractor will recieve the income derived from the hire of the stalls.

The market opens from 9:00 am until 17:00 pm (16:00 pm in the winter).

Operators will be required to create a diverse and vibrant shopping experience for customers in order to increase market trading. As well as the traditional stalls such as fruit and vegetables, clothes, houshold goods, flowers and plants the shopping experience should extend to fresh affordable produce.
