The Norwegian Patent Office intends to enter into an agreement for the purchase of a new virtualisation platform.

The estimated contract value is approx. NOK 3.6 million over the course of the contract period including options.

The new system will replace our entire current VMware environment. We expect an all-flash system.

All necessary optics for the system must be included. Necessary external optics in aggregation switches will not be included as part of the tender, but will be available as an option. In such case, this will be agreed upon during the planning of the implementation. Network equipment to be used for the system will be purchased through a separate procurement, which has not yet been finalised.

The Norwegian Patent Office is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all our systems. With limited resources, we emphasise that administration of the new system is to be simple.
