The contracting authority named in point 1 intends to enter into a contract for veterinary duty services in Tynset duty district.

The municipalities are responsible for organising clinical veterinary duty services. The veterinary duties scheme was established in accordance with the Act from 15.6.2001 nº 75 on veterinary surgeons and other animal health personnel § 3 a.

The scheme with veterinary duties shall ensure that the municipality/municipalities establish a clinical duty for veterinary surgeons in all parts of the country, so that necessary veterinary help can be obtained outside ordinary working hours. The veterinary duty is a necessary part of the stand-by against serious infectious animal diseases and it is important for maintaining good animal welfare.

The municipality also wants one of the participants in the duty scheme to undertake responsibility for the preparation, maintenance and follow up of the duty list against remuneration from the municipality.

Tenderers shall enter a price and description for this in their tender offer.
