Expansion of the mechatronic system of the vocational school of the Stormarn district in Bad Oldesloe

In the first half of the 2023/24 school year, the district of Stormarn would like to expand the existing mechatronic system at the vocational school of the Stormarn district in Bad Oldesloe by several components in the old building at Schanzenbarg in room U57.

The inventory of the vocational school of the Stormarn district in Bad Oldesloe already includes a number of mechatronic subsystems for teaching purposes. In order to keep up with the continuous development of the industry and its standards, it is necessary to expand and modernize the mechatronic systems.

By procuring components compatible with the existing systems, it would be possible to replicate the state-of-the-art production processes of the industry and thus allow the students to learn on realistic production facilities.

The circulation system to be procured with the associated production stations is the focal point of the system. The existing stations and transport systems could further expand this in order to grow from a closed circuit to a smart factory. This makes it possible to produce different products at the same time on the fully automated production line.

In addition, this system (Smartfactory) can only be implemented if the interfaces (mechanics and electronics), the controls and programs as well as the components used are also 100% compatible. In detail, this would have to include e.g. the track width, the track height, the pallet size, the plug connections, the communication, the PLC programs, the station size, the transport length and much more. compatible and interchangeable.

Thus, the equipment of the vocational school of the Stormarn district would be equipped for the current innovations of the industry and would be very well equipped.
