Larne Borough Council proposes to procure a Contractor or Contractors to:
provide a service to treat and/or recover residual civic amenity waste (“Contract Waste”) delivered by the Council and contractor to a single nominated delivery point so that at least 70 % of such Contract Waste is diverted from landfill by means of recycling and/or recovery. The tenderer's proposal should be supported by sufficient detail in relation to its assumptions on the composition of the Contract Waste and the information on which this is based to allow the Authority to be assured that the Tenderer's proposed diversion level is achievable.
to collect data and produce quarterly reports detailing:
Total quantity of waste delivered and breakdown of tonnage received from each site and waste delivered by LBC. Although each container will be hauled from Redlands, their site of origin (Redlands, Larne South or Glenarm) will be detailed on the weighbridge docket accompanying the container.
% breakdown of materials recycled/recovered/landfilled.
Final destination of materials.
In respect of the Tender, the waste shall be brought by Larne Borough Council (est. 760 tonnes, 33 %) and the compacted container waste (est. 1 550 tonnes, 67 %) shall be brought by the contractor directly to and deposited at a single, delivery point nominated by the appointed contractor.
