An important topic in the work of the working group is health promotion and education on infection control through vaccinations and hygiene measures as well as the information of the population in the event of extraordinary infectious disease outbreaks (examples: influenza pandemic 2009/10, EHEC outbreak 2011, Ebola outbreak 2014, Zika virus 2016, SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 2020ff, Mpox 2022). In this area of work, the working group has developed an integrated communication strategy with a comprehensive and quality-assured multimedia offer for the general population as well as for multipliers and professionals. On key topics such as flu vaccination or hand hygiene, campaigns are carried out with target group-specific communication elements. The websites www.infektionsschutz.de, www.impfen-info.de, www.longcovid-info.de and www.masernschutz.de form the multi-site environment for infection protection. www.infektionsschutz.de, www.impfen-info.de and www.longcovid-info.de have a common corporate design.
The multisite environment for infection control, consisting of the websites www.infektionsschutz.de, www.impfen-info.de, www.longcovid-info.de and www.masernschutz.de, is based on the content management system TYPO3. On these websites, the BZgA provides up-to-date, neutral and quality-assured information on the topics of hygiene, vaccination and Long COVID as well as on the Measles Protection Act.
In the event of extraordinary outbreaks, the BZgA has the task of disseminating relevant information on an ad hoc basis via the Internet (crisis communication). In the event of a crisis and depending on the incidence of infection, appropriate download and print media must be adapted or newly developed. In the context of crisis communication, a rapid and coordinated adaptation and further development of the means of communication must be ensured.
The websites are primarily aimed at the general population or certain risk groups or those affected, but also at multipliers who work on the topics of vaccination and hygiene (infection protection) as well as Long COVID.
The tendered services include continuous technical support as well as the conceptual, technical and design development of the multisite environment as well as the conceptual and design support and further development of the media for infection control.
Through the maintenance and conceptual development of the multisite environment, the information content, attractiveness and user-friendliness for the user groups are to be further expanded. This, as well as accompanying marketing measures, is intended to increase the number of hits.
Note: The website www.longcovid-info.de (see chapter 1.2.2 of the service description) is to be switched off on 31.12.2023. The technical support and further development of this website in accordance with the specifications of this service description is only part of the Contractor's scope of services until 31.12.2023.
