Insurance Broker Services and associated consultancy including amongst other things the provision and servicing of a risk financing programme; dissemination of best practice; a single risk transfer solution; participation in Consortium Management, Insurance Group, Working Group, individual member and any ad-hoc meetings; general advice; assistance with tenders for insurance services and the renewal of risk financing contracts; statistical reporting; identification and development of potential new markets for Police risks including alternatives to risk financing; renewal services; general day-to-day guidance and administration. In addition to the suggested range of services above, some members or the consortium may purchase additional menu services such as full tendering for insurance requirements.
The above named forces participate in the full range of services but the British Transport Police also attend insurance group meetings but have separate broker and consultancy arrangements.
An overview of the scope of the contract is provided at II.1.4) above. It should be noted that the menu services may not be purchased by all or any members. The procurement will be led by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Suffolk on behalf of the named commissioners.
This Contract shall be open to the organisational portfolios of each Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable identified above and their statutory successors and any organisations created as a result of re-organisation or organisational changes. Should any of the Commissioners during the term of this contract or any extensions thereof, extend their portfolio then any such extension shall be serviced by the Contractor in accordance with the terms of this Contract.
