The Thuringian Fernwasserversorgung (TFW) intends to repair the Wechmar dam and adapt it to the requirements of dam class 1. The repair is intended to ensure the continued operation of the plant for the next 50 years.

The current flood relief as a drop shaft is to be demolished and replaced by the construction of a new flood relief system at the dam structure. The control bar and the fittings are in need of renovation or renewal and are also part of the planning.

Lot 1 - Object planning according to Part 3, Section 3 HOAI 2021, civil engineering structures as well as special services from Annex 12 to § 43 HOAI 2021, civil engineering structures.

Lot 2 – Technical planning according to Part 4, Section 1 HOAI 2021, structural engineering:

In particular, the new flood relief system and the hydraulic steel structure are to be planned for the structural planning. The current flood relief system is to be converted into an additional extraction height.

Lot 3 – Area planning according to Part 2, Section 2 HOAI 2021, landscape planning (environmental planning):

Due to the new construction of the flood relief system and the damming required for the construction measures, area planning or environmental planning is required for an estimated study area of 5 ha.
