This European Tender for Cleaning Maintenance has been launched for the Netherlands Brain Institute (NHI) and the International Institute of Social History (IISH).

Both institutes are part of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). For more information about the Academy, see www.knaw.nl.

The assignment consists of daily and periodic cleaning maintenance, floor maintenance and window cleaning.

The assignment is divided into 2 plots where Lot 1 is location NHI and plot 2 IISH.

The Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience (NHI, or NIN in English) conducts fundamental and strategic scientific research in the field of neuroscience. The emphasis is on brain research and research into the visual system. The NHI investigates how the brain enables cognitive functions such as consciousness, perception, movement, learning and social interactions. It is also being investigated how these functions are disrupted in brain diseases. Components of the NHI are the Dutch Brain Bank, the Dutch Sleep Register and the Spinoza Centre, which provide (inter)national facilities for research into, among other things, human brain tissue, cognitive functions and sleep patterns. The NHI includes a large number of offices, laboratories and research rooms. All parts fall within the scope. According to the current plans, a move is planned in 2025, whereby it is estimated that the total floor area to be cleaned will decrease by approximately 300m2. floor area decreases.

In the NHI, 150-200 employees are present every day and occasionally there are groups of visitors in the building (maximum 100).

The most important point of attention lies in the quality of cleaning, unburdening, flexibility and the right knowledge about approach and use of appropriate resources and materials. We expect from you:

The International Institute of Social History (IISH) investigates how labour and labour relations develop worldwide in the long term. To this end, the IISH collects archives and data on a global scale. The IISH collects and analyses data on social and economic developments since 1500. The goal is to find out how inequality arises within and between societies. More information can be found at www.iisg.amsterdam/nl.

The IISH is mainly an office building but also contains a large historical archive.
