Worcester City Council was seeking an experienced and proactive Quantity Surveyor & Project Manager to help bring forward their plans to refurbish and extend their Astwood Crematorium in Worcester.
The proposed works include alteration to the existing footprint with improvements and extension to visitor reception and chapel areas including a new Porte Cochere along with partial façade recladding. As well as front of house the Council are proposing improvements to back of house and operational areas including the replacement of the existing gas cremators which are nearing the end of their operational life. A final decision is still to be taken on either gas or electric cremators
The Council was inviting Tenders for the provision of the QS & PM services required for the delivery of the above.
Council approvals have been given to take the scheme to the end of RIBA Stage 3. Approval to proceed with Stage 4-6 will follow the end of Stage 3 report and will be subject to capital programme approvals.
