Sufficient computing and storage capacities must be provided for the storage expansion for the establishment and equipping of a biobank for the medical faculty of Martin Luther University Halle (Saale). This requires servers and switches to expand the existing IT infrastructure. For this purpose, two lots are tendered, which can be awarded separately. These are lot 1 servers comprised of two Dell Isilon clusters, each with 4 A200 nodes, and lot 2 switches consisting of 4 associated EMC-Celestica 2PS with 24 ports each. The exact configurations can be found in the lot description and the price sheet. Part of the service is the delivery, installation, acceptance and support in accordance with the required manufacturer's warranties and the price sheet. The hardware must be proven to have been purchased from a manufacturer's certified dealer and must not have been used or previously used.
LOT 1 serverIt is expected to procure 2 Dell Isilon clusters, each with 576 TB of gross drive capacity+1.6 TB of SSD cache, which will operate in failover operation. The clusters consist of 4 A200 nodes each. 4 nodes are housed in one shelf. In terms of software functionality, the SmartLock license, which provides a WORM function, is particularly noteworthy. This provides an immutability of the data secure and thus ensures secure archiving of data assets over a long specified period of time (e.g. 10 years).
