We require 2 doctors in Stoke Mandeville who is capable of practising at CT1 level, i.e. admitting patients and fully assessing them at a Surgical CT1 level, ordering appropriate investigations and making initial treatment plans. This doctor will be required to assist in theatre. This doctor will always be supervised by a resident registrar level surgeon who will review all patients. They will never be expected or allowed to operate in theatre, only assist.

We require 1 doctor in High Wycombe to provide cover at the core trainee level as the attached job plan and service spec. This doctor will be working alone and oversees the overnight care of the elective treatment inpatients on the wards. On site supervision for severely ill patients is provided by ITU, but any surgical queries and first port of call for surgical inpatients is the on call Registrar at Stoke Mandeville Hospital by telephone. They are not expected to admit new patients or go to theatre.
