Gassnova SF is the Norwegian public enterprise with the mandate to manage the Norwegian government’s interests in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS).
With reference to Chapter 3.3.7 of White Paper No. 9 (2010-2011) Full-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS), the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (MPE) gives Gassnova an assignment and mandate:
”Gassnova will carry out an assessment study with the purpose of providing a comprehensive and updated mapping of possibilities for realisation of full-scale CCS beyond the project at Mongstad”.
In this context, a thorough mapping of how full-scale CCS can be realised in Norway beyond the project at Mongstad is requested through the Norwegian CCS Study (NCS).
The successful tenderer shall assist Gassnova in conducting the NCS study, e.g. assist in administration of the work, perform or alternatively procure and manage studies, receive and evaluate studies, and develop the final reports. In general, perform various work prior to feasibility approval, Decision Gate 1 (DG1).
