Aviation ground support software package. The Puma 2 Gazelle Project Team, part of the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to award a contract until the Puma HC2 Out of Service Date (OSD), currently 2025 for the provision of Software (including initial training) and Software Licences associated with the Puma HC2 Navigation Data Packing Tool (NDPT) to CMC Electronics.

It is considered that this Contract can be placed with CMC Electronics using the negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice pursuant to Article 28(1)(e) of Directive 2009/81/EC (Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011) for reasons connected with the protection of exclusive rights. The items to be purchased under the contract are required for the proper functioning of the Puma HC2 navigation system and there are no other equivalent items that would be compatible with the navigation systems. CMC Electronics hold the exclusive rights to the software and as such are the only supplier capable of fulfilling the Ministry of Defence's requirement.
