The Directorate of Public Construction and Property is a government administration company. The Directorate of Public Construction and Property's assignment is to offer good and functional

premises for government entities, and to realise adopted socio-political targets as regards

architecture, governmental planning interests, cultural memorial protection and environment.

Statsbygg [Public Construction and Property Management] advises on the purchase or rental of premises, is the building commissioner on behalf of the state and ensure good management of the properties related to the state's rent programme.

Statsbygg shall also ensure governmental interests in major property development projects.

The Directorate of Public Construction and Property has approx. 900 employees. The main office is in Oslo, with separate regional offices in Oslo, Porsgrunn,

Bergen, Trondheim and Tromsø. The place of work for this assignment is the main office in Oslo. To the degree that travel is required, travel expenses will be paid in accordance with the government's rates.
