The six Central Switzerland police corps currently operate their own operations control centres (ELZ). The participating cantons will need to renew their operations control centres in the coming years for systemic and operational reasons.

For the desired redundancy, joint planning and procurement of the operational infrastructures is planned. The aim is a uniform system landscape and the same basic system designs in the ELZ Gotthard axis at the Kaltbach site and in the ELZ Brünig axis at the Rothenburg site.

For the planning and procurement of the joint operating infrastructures, the mandate "ELZ control centre planning" is to be procured. This intercantonal submission is carried out in accordance with the legal provisions of the Canton of Schwyz.
