To assist in the management and control of asbestos within NHSBT property, by the undertaking of Asbestos Management Surveys in a number of properties owned or leased by NHSBT. The appointed surveyor will be required to identify and prioritise recommendations on any remedial works which are identified during the survey. The objective of the asbestos surveys will involve a material assessment of asbestos containing materials (ACMs) that may be disturbed or damaged during normal activities, maintenance or through the installation of new equipment. One of the main objectives of these surveys is to assess the ability of ACMs to release dangerous asbestos fibres into the air, if disturbed or damaged.
Asbestos surveying, sampling, air testing to areas within NHSBT properties to include underfloor coverings above false ceilings, (ceiling voids) lofts, inside risers, service shafts, service ducts and lift shafts, basements cellars, underground rooms, under crofts, plant rooms (this list is not exhaustive).
