The task includes sorting and marketing of collected plastic and metal waste as well as food and drink cartons. At the same time, the winning bidder undertakes to take over Nordværk's existing sorting plant. It is a requirement that the waste is treated at facilities within the EU/EEA, just as the sorted fractions must be sold for recycling at certified plants within the EU/EEA. The successful tenderer also undertakes to take over the contracting entity's existing sorting facilities. The takeover of the sorting plant is covered by the Business Transfer Act.

The Tenderer is entitled to entrust the task of handling the Client's waste and resulting fractions to one or more sorting/treatment plants.
