Loppa Municipality has, in accordance with investment decision (PS 70/2022) decided to construct a new future orientated competence centre located in Øksfjord, on the site between the existing Høgtun School and the old primary school.

The competence centre will

include the following functions:

- 1st - 10th year school with wraparound care and a school of arts

- Nursery

- Combination library

- Activity hall of volleyball size

- Learning pool

- Adult Education

- Outdoor installations for the nursery and school

The old primary school is to be demolished to make room for the new competence centre.

An architect will be procured for the development of a draft project for Skarven learning centre. The draft project will form the basis for the further development of the project in the later phases.

The architect will have an option for the preliminary project, with an option for continuation to the execution phase under the contractor.

It is a prerequisite that the same architect is used for the entire project.
