The Nordland Hospital Vesterålen is a new hospital with an area of approx. 15 000 m². The hospital is now in use and the existing unused buildings are subject to demolition.

Contract K202 Demolition work (turnkey contract) comprises environmental clearance and demolition of Wings A, B, C, D and L including all technical installations, a total of approx. 7000 m² floor area.

The buildings were mainly constructed in the 1950s with covers of concrete cast on site, concrete and masonry walls and wooden roof constructions. An environmental mapping of the buildings has been carried out. The work also includes the demolition of an existing pump house for a seawater heat pump and the accompanying seawater pipeline.
