The East Midlands Strategic Commercial Unit, on behalf of the Northamptonshire Police and Crime Commissioner, are seeking to award a JCT Design and Build contract for the building of a Police Investigation Centre located within the A14 corridor adjacent to Kettering. The contract is expected to commence in April 2014 with a target completion date of April 2015.The building will comprise of a single storey building containing a custody suite of 20 cells, Investigation office space and associated support offices, which will have to comply with Home Office guidelines. The rear of the site will comprise of a secure yard for the custody function via secure gate controlled access, whilst the front of the site will accommodate visitor parking and reception areas. Northamptonshire Police and Crime Commissioner haa appointed Pick Everard as their Project Managers and Technical Advisors.

The Northamptonshire Police and Crime Commissioner has a detailed design from Pick Everard which will be supplied to all contractors who successfully get through to the ITT stage.
